Match: Stevenage vs Cambridge United
Competition: SkyBet League One
Price: £24
So this is take 2 to try and get this fixture on. The 1st attempt over the Christmas period was postponed due to floodlight failure.
The journey from our ground to Stevenage's one was short one and arrived there in plenty of time.
Once again just as like the 1st game the stewards was very handy with people when patting them down before they entered the ground.
Kick off was delayed because of bad traffic, not that Stevenage bothered to tell people in the ground this. Most finding out via social media.
Sadly for the 1,384 travelling Cambridge fans was a rather drab and awful watch. Cambridge could hardly string more than a couple of passes together and were rather toothless upfront. Stevenage going ahead from a Jordan Roberts shot and some poor defending.
In the 2nd half Stevenage didn't push as hard as they did in the 1st half. Cambridge had spells when they looked a little threatening, especially after some subs came on. The most frustrating moment of the game was in injury time when some absolute brain dead Cambridge 'supporter' throw a flare on to the pitch, while Cambridge was building a promising attack.
Stewards dealing with the flare that interrupted the game.
It is unfortunate that the game was marred with trouble caused by both sets of fans.
Attendance: 6,553
Man of the match: Jordan Roberts
